I switched off and on the router again. Before starting and it worked.
I am now running a Fritz!Box on the Speedport.

The problem is, that the firmware is assembled especially for your router. A manual upload is not possible, because the Telecom router does not accept the image as a valid one. That’s why you have to flash it with the piece of Freetz software. It uses the hardreset feature to enable the FTP upload and flash mode.

If it still uses the old firmware, then the flashing did not work. Maybe you should just try again. Remove all connections except for power and the ethernet cable to your computer.

In my case I needed to it also multiple times until it worked, but my setup was using Ubuntu in a VirtualBox and having a TimeCapsule as router behind the Speedport, so there was no “direct” connection.

This does not work via WLAN. If possible connect your computer directly to the router. Try the outmost left port or the outmost right one. Afaik, there is a hardware coded priority.

It works. Needed to change the location in the script that downloads the code from the trunk directory.
I also needed to install a couple of extra programs e.g. Subversion
A new firmware was created and uploaded. I restarted the router. But also that seem to have happen was that the setting were reset. It was still using the Telekom firmware.
Any ideas of what I need to do or missed?

I can’t answer you this question, because I am using a newer Speedport router. But I think, it should be still possible.

That video was made using Snow Leopard. With Lion I don’t get any sound of it, even not on a different Mac. So it’s time to sell it and get another soundcard. The Traktor Audio devices from Native Instruments do look very attractive to me.

I saw your you tube video on using multiple audio devices. I also have a Mac and a Terratec Phase 24 FW. I am wondering if you are still using yours with Lion? If so, have you been able to get the control panel for the Phase 24 to work? I already downloaded the beta driver 1.3 from Terratec, but the control mixer still doesn’t work correctly. Do you have any advice?

Thanks Markus Zeller and also to all the information you give.The Speedport W 701V is used by the company AVM produced for the telecom. AVM does not, the Fritz-boxes, which produces AVM, already.

Danke für die Info! Ich war auch schon mal geschockt, was YouTube mit dem 480p-Video einer Kundin qualitätsmäßig angestellt hat, aber auf die Idee des Hochskalierens bin ich zugegebenermaßen nicht gekommen. Das ist auch im Grunde reichlich absurd — und was YouTube im Detail tut, kann sich jederzeit ändern. Der Tipp, am besten gleich in 720p zu produzieren, hat jedoch sicherlich Bestand.
