It tells about the experiment how fast data can be spread in comparision to the internet. And guess what? The internet lost against a carrier pigeon.

The bird got a tiny 4 GB memory card and transported it over a distance of about 85 kilometres. It took just one hour and eight minutes at non-optimal weather conditions.

Downloading the same data over the same distance with a high speed ADSL connection amount took more than two times longer the bird winged.
